Children and the will of heart

On speaking with my 5 year old daughter on the phone it's clear how she just expresses whatever is going on for her there and then. There's very little bias or mental conjecture. It's simply the innocense of life and happy imagination, bright and receptive to whatever is going on.

Most of us adults think an awful lot and this thinking has its roots in self doubt. Confidence is natural when it bypasses any self reflection or emotional projection towards other people. Confidence is borne from the will of heart where there exists no motive other than to feel love and give.

From this vantage life takes care of itself, we need not interfere. That doesn't mean not to do anything though. It means to do everything fully without depending on results.

Children are our greatest teachers including the child within ourselves. But oh how stiffled these children can be in a world of self doubting adults. It's painful to watch the supression of their little voices yet at the same time heartening to see their compassion and bravery in the face of it all. They're very strong and can often see a lot more than we do.
