These tips help you manage Inspiration

We all get ideas and visions of how things can be, downloads of inspiration that glow in our minds eye. They show us the outcome of better possibilities. It's time to start creating!

In my own creativity most things are downloads that I follow to make happen. Other times I start the work and downloads come. Like writing this article just now, I didn't know what I was going to write about until I got started. Willingness helps, just do it.

Some of us get inspired and think "this is stupid and will never work", or "this is just my silly imagination", or "who am I to do this or that". Self doubt and negativity stops things before they've had a chance to succeed, don't do this to yourself.

You know that feeling of excitement that happens when inspiration comes? Well that's your creative readiness, it supercharges your ability to make things happen. You just need to hold the vision, stay positive and carry out the work. It becomes a journey perhaps for days, perhaps for years depending on what it is.

Of course on the journey you can fail if you want things easy there and then. Or maybe domestic woes and money issues paint a bleak picture over the once colourful and happy canvass. Disappointment might set in, disbelief that anything can happen. Self sabotage rules the roost and blame occurs.

Willpower is your friend in these moments should they happen, it will drag you out of any dark swamp. A belief in goodness helps too. We all need a bit of faith sometimes. 

But for every down dip there's an upsurge even brighter so if you're inspired and things start to get a bit doubtful don't worry because it's light again tomorrow. And what's the big rush anyway? Just continue the plan of action bit by bit and don't give into laziness. Stay focused, do the work and it will happen.

Sometimes confidence is an issue for people, if that's the case for you then do things step by step, build on small successes and make it fun, this helps a lot. 

There's a method to the process. It's easy, and once you get the hang of it you'll love it because you'll manage yourself better and can make the life you want.
